If you had told me 20 years ago that I would still be in Central New York today and happy here I would have told you that you were crazy and started crying. When you’re young you want to head out and conquer the world and the little town that you grew up in doesn’t seem very exciting. It seemed CNY was rain and snow, with nothing to do and not enough people to do it with. Growing up, I couldn’t wait to leave.
Shortly after college, I started my family. Having kids seems to change ones point of view quite a bit. They were safe here and we had great times going to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, hiking the many trails in many of the amazing parks in the region, or taking road trips to visit Niagara Falls or New York City. It started to seem like everything I had ever wanted was here or close by. We could visit real
beaches on Lake Ontario or go camping in the Adirondack National Park. Within 4 hours drive we could watch bald eagles fishing in a serene mountain lake or climb the Empire State Building. My kids were having an amazing childhood with tons of great experiences. As they get older they have tons of educational opportunities as well with Syracuse University, Cornell and R.I.T. being so close by. Who could ask for more than that?
Before I knew it, Syracuse and Central New York were a part of me and I was definitely a part of it. My family is here, my kids are here and even though there is still WAAAAY too much snow, I can’t imagine living any where else. This place is great and it makes me happy.
I am so happy that I ended up as a mom to three boys, one girl, a cat, a dog and Picture Infinity. This business is my baby. I’ve helped raise it from a crazy idea into a thriving and growing entity that fills me with energy, excitement and purpose. Every day is a new adventure where I get to meet wonderful new people and make amazing art out of big events and little moments that would otherwise go almost unnoticed. I have the best job in the world.
My personality is relaxed and unobtrusive. During a wedding I like to fade into the background to observe and capture all the unscripted little moments that describe and celebrate the
relationships. Except for the formals time I want things to happen naturally and I don’t want to be the center of attention. That area is reserved for you. Formals time is a different matter. I am organized and detail oriented so that we can get through the family photos as quickly as possible while still generating an interesting and quality result. After family time, I prefer to have a generous amount of relaxed time for just me and the bride and groom to create those epic heirloom quality images everyone wants to take away from their wedding day.
So, that’s a bit about me. Hopefully we can get to know each other better after you contact me and talk to me about your wedding. I look forward to meeting you.
